The main challenge with this music video was without a doubt the financing limitation. Being an almost no-budget production it was clear from the beginning we would have to work with what we have. Weeks of preparation, experimenting with DIY-crane setups and many camera-rig iterations later it was then time to figure out how to build the set itself, also a huge challenge.
In the end the music video was then shot in one night with slowly growing FX each take, since we only had a maximum of two tries to make it rain. Light-flickering, smoke and rain was all done in-camera, while later in post-production rain was enhanced by 3D simulation.
